The villas distinguish themselves by location, size and character through the colours and fine natural linens and cottons that characterise each villa. They feature bathrooms in Orosei marble, dressing rooms, vanity area and a range of courtesy accessories.
The names of the villas are inspired by local places and trees that surround Borgo Smeraldo. Created on a promontory overlooking an untouched stretch of Costa Smeralda, the 7 villas of Borgo Smeraldo have been built in stone and wood in the characteristic style of Stazzi, traditional farmhouses of the north east of the island. Each villa has 3 or 4 double bedrooms with 3 or 4 shower rooms, large living area with kitchen and an outside area centred around a private heated pool set in a natural garden of myrtle, juniper and mastic.
All the villas have air conditioning, satellite TV, free WiFi, safe, minibar, pool towels, 1 jacuzzi bath, shower rooms,courtesy products, hairdryer, bathrobe and slippers. The kitchens are well equipped with oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery and cooking equipment (no washing machine but laundry service available).
Outside the villas have furnished terraces with dining table and chairs, gas barbecue available on request, and a private heated pool in the garden with sun loungers provided. The villas are cleaned twice a week including a change of linen and towels (extra cleaning available on request, extra cost).

Villa Fico d’India (130m2, 3 bedrooms + 3 shower rooms, sleeping up to 6)
The most panoramic villa consisting of two separate houses with two furnished terraces and a private heated swimming pool. In the larger house, there are two double suites with en suite shower rooms leading to the living area and kitchen. In a seperate house there is a double suite accessed from outside with jacuzzi and shower room. From the garden, there are views to the Costa Smeralda.
Villa Ginepro (165m2, 3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms, sleeping up to 6)
Perfect fit with the natural landscape with exposed stone walls, the stazzi (the rural houses of the region) have characteristic doors and windows and terracotta verandas with pergolas in chestnut and cane. The master suite has chestnut and reed ceiling, whirlpool tub and shower room + WC leads to the living room and kitchen opening onto the garden. Accessed from outside, there are two separate independent large double bedrooms with bathrooms with whirlpool tubs. The private lawned garden and pool area enjoys beautiful sunsets.
Villa Liscia Ruja (186m2, 3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms, sleeping up to 6)
Set in a private location with spectacular views of Capo Figari and the Island of Tavolara, there are two separate houses, one with two double suites, both with jacuzzi bath and shower room and designed according to the local style which features exposed stone, ceilings in cane with chestnut beams and traditional décor. In an adjacent separate building, there is another double suite with jacuzzi and shower with the living area and kitchen. The outside sun terrace has a heated private swimming pool and guests can enjoy the unspoiled natural landscape in total privacy.
Villa Tavolara (188m2, 3 bedrooms + 4 bathrooms, sleeping up to 6)
One of the largest villas arranged on two levels: the upper floor consists of a living area with a kitchen, bathroom and panoramic terrace that offers views of the sun rising over the sea. The lower level, accessed from outside, has three separate double suites each with jacuzzi bath and shower room, all with external entrances which form a sheltered and reserved courtyard around the large private heated pool surrounded by a teak and terracotta terrace.
Villa Corbezzolo (200m2, 3 bedrooms + 4 bathrooms, sleeping up to 6)
Situated in the centre of the complex comprising of two double suites with jacuzzi and shower room with independent entraces. A further seperate double suite with jacuzzi and shower room leads to the beautiful living area with kitchen that opens onto a covered terrace with dining area, surrounded by a lawn with Mediterranean vegetation and heated pool.
Villa Ginestra (220m2, 3 bedrooms + 3 bathrooms, sleeping up to 6)
A village house featuring stone exteriors, wooden windows, living area with kitchen and two master double bedroom suites each with jacuzzi and shower room (one with only external access). Stairs in terracotta and juniper lead to the upper floor with a separate double suite with a romantic sleeping area and a small upstairs terrace overlooking the sea. The garden enjoys sunsets and the poolside terrace features teak, local stone and terracotta.
Villa Romazzino (250m2, 4 bedrooms + 4 bathrooms, sleeping up to 8+2)
The largest of the villas with eye catching colours and consisting of four double suites, three with independent access to the outside but all lead into the large living area with kitchen and terrace with dining area in the private garden with heated swimming pool. On a lower floor accessed by external steps, there is an annex for up to two guests or a nanny. Please note: the villa can sleep 11 with an addition of an extra bed for no extra cost.
Guests staying in the villas can order room service (extra cost) from the hotel and breakfast can be provided on request (extra cost).
Villa guests are also welcome to dine (on reservation, extra cost) in La Pergola, Borgo Smeraldo’s gourmet restaurant, situated in the central piazzetta offering simple yet refined dishes that celebrate the best local ingredients and fresh produce. Fresh from the oven, the menu includes Sardinian Carasau, excellent pizzas and a range of foccacias. The wine cellar houses prestigious wines including the renowned local Vermentino and Cannonau along with a selection of the best bubbles from the Veneto region.
There is a Mediterranean-style Lounge Bar situated next to the pool and offers a range of aperitifs and cocktails served with a spectacular sea view. The Pool Bar is also serves a continental breakfast and tasty light lunches in summer (extra cost).
The hotel has a 24 hour reception concierge service to welcome guests and offers villa, hotel and local information, plus room service and laundry service (extra cost).
Villa guests have access to the hotel 3 tier outdoor swimming pool and sun terrace with sunbeds and parasols set between spectacular granite rocks with views of the Costa Smeralda and the islands beyond. There is also a small gym (free of charge), and beauty centre for treatments and hairdresser (extra cost).
The nearest beach is Liscia Ruja beach equipped with sun loungers and parasols to hire (01/05 - 30/09). Also known as Long Beach, this beach is one of the largest, most popular and most photographed on the Costa Smeralda shoreline, surrounded by scented grasses and machia and fronted by vivid azure sea with stunning views of Cala di Volpe Bay and Pevero golf course beyond. However there are many other beautiful beaches a similar distance, dotted along the coastline, including Spiaggia di Rena Bianca, Spiaggia di Razza di Junco, Cala Petra Ruja, Spiaggia Li Itriceddi, Spiaggia di Capriccioli most with beach services, beach bars and restaurants with stunning views of the Costa Smeralda.
The hotel can organise various boat excursions to the Maddalena islands between Sardinia and Corsica either on sailing or motor boats of any type and size. There are also guided Scuba diving and snorkelling trips to the Marine Protected Area around Tavolara Island. The Pevero Golf Club is just 6km from the hotel which is an 18 hole PAR 72 course designed by Robert Trent Jones Sr., ranked among the top 50 courses in the world. There is also horse riding, climbing, trekking, food and wine tours available locally (all extra cost).
There are also excursions to the many archaeological sites of the area rich in ancient monuments including the Dolmens and the Tombs of Giants from the second millennium BC. Other sites host the famous Nuraghe, towers of huge stones built during the same period by the ancient Sardinian civilisation.
Borgo Smeraldo is situated just minutes from the most beautiful beaches of the Costa Smeralda including the famous Liscia Ruja, the splendid Rena Bianca and the spectacular La Celvia, Capriccioli, Del Principe and Romazzino.

The strategic position of the hotel means that guests can equally explore the mountainous interior as well as the coastline up to Palau, Santa Teresa and the Archipelago of La Maddalena and in the other direction the stunning Golfo Aranci, the city of Olbia and San Teodoro beyond.
The world famous yacht haven of Porto Cervo is a 10 minute drive from Borgo Smeraldo, with a stunning marina, renowned boutiques restaurants and nightclubs. Porto Rotondo is 19km away, again with a stunning marina, small restaurants and boutiques.
The artisan town of San Pantaleo is 6km from the hotel, known for its market and as the town of artists. Abbiadori is 5km away towards Porto Cervo and has a selection of shops, supermarket, pharmacy, cashpoint etc.
