Riva Azzurra provided an ideal base to either relax and do very little, or explore Sardinia and the neighbouring islands, or a bit of both! The apartment we had (209) was clean, spacious, amazing views across the sea, great balcony, air conditioning that worked in the bedroom and living area, and it was quiet. The swimming pool area was clean and comfortable, never overcrowded, private but you could walk over to the wall and watch the world go by if you wanted. Reception staff were great - didn't need them much as everything was good!

What types of apartments are there?
Built in typical Sardinian style, Residence Riva Azzurra comprises of 29 modern apartments, some with sea views on three levels accessed via steps with feature arches, wide terraces and wrought iron balconies.
There are various types and sizes of apartments to suit different requirements, but all the apartments are decorated in pastel colours and furnished with traditional Sardinian fabrics and hand crafted lamps.
Each apartment has a shower room with hairdryer, free WiFi, fitted kitchenette with gas hob, microwave, kettle and fridge freezer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe and terrace or balcony.
Studio Apartment (25m2 - 40m2, sleeping up to 3) open plan double bedroom with 1 single sofa bed, kitchenette, shower room and small terrace, some with sea views (supplement)

What facilities & services are available?
The Riva Azzurra is opposite the town beach of Cannigione and just 150m from the centre of the town. Guests have the shared use of four small swimming pools (one reserved for children) in front of the residence and terrace surround with sunbeds and parasols. There is also a snack bar and restaurant serving local specialities, pasta and pizza situated next to the residence. The reception staff can assist with local information and book boat trips, car hire and excursions to explore this beautiful part of the island. A laundry room is available for guests use with self service washing machines (extra cost).

Where is the residence located and how far is the beach?
The town, just a 200m walk, has a variety of shops, supermarkets, weekly market, bakery and fishmonger with local produce available for self catering. Alternatively, for eating out, there is a selection of restaurants, pizzerias, café bars and gelaterias to suit all tastes and budgets.

Residence Riva Azzurra is conveniently situated and good value for money for both couples and families.
The apartments are equipped to offer guests different typologies and all the comforts for a self catering holiday. The apartments are in an ideal position opposite the beach and close to town with a conveniently located restaurant and snack bar next door. Cannigione is a popular and vibrant holiday resort with a port and town beach.
There are several gorgeous beaches around the gulf and boat excursions to visit the nearby stunning Maddalena islands and the famous Costa Smeralda. Car hire recommended but not essential.
