Beautiful hotel, was extremely happy with the room we got when we arrived. Staff where really friendly & helpful. Every morning there was a large choice for the breakfast. Location was very good for walking into the centre of Alghero, its roughly a 10 min walk. I would recommend this hotel.

Large, modern and well maintained hotel. Just a ten minutes or so from the historic walled city of Alghero. Large range of food available at breakfast. We took dinner at the hotel one night and were impressed by the quality of the meal and the way it was so well presented.

What dining & bar options are available?
The hotel boasts two restaurants, Imperial Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast and is open for dinner offering either a buffet or set menu and Del Emperador serves à la carte lunches and dinners (both extra cost) on the outside terrace where you can enjoy stunning views across the bay.
A snack bar by the pool is open for lunch (extra cost) and serves drinks overlooking the sea throughout the day and evening.
Restaurants can open / close at the managements discretion.
What facilities, activities & experiences are available?
The large pool and children's pool (both open mid May- mid Sept) is surrounded by a terrace with sun loungers and parasols for relaxing, but if you prefer to swim in the sea, it is just a short stroll over the road to steps which lead down from the rocks into the emerald water. The hotel is situated in large gardens with complimentary gym (open mid May-mid Sept) and massage treatments available (extra cost).
The Lido is the nearest sandy beach which is about 30 minutes walk or a few minutes by car. The Carlos V is walking distance of the old town of Alghero and therefore ideal for relaxing, sightseeing, walking and exploring the town and surrounding countryside.
Does the hotel have a spa?
The Libera Spa is open every day, entrance to the spa is approximately €45 per person for guests at the Carlos for 90 minutes and includes use of the heated swimming pool with hydro massage stations, swimming against the current and a waterfall, hydro massage whirlpool, Finnish sauna, sauna, steam room, Thalasso experience, herbal bath for breathing in the aromas and essences, water paradise sensory tunnel, bucket shower, ice fountain, aromatherapy and chromotherapy, relax area with herbal teas and dried fruit, towels and slippers provided.
Please note: treatments are extra cost.
Where is the resort located?
The old town of Alghero is approximately 1km along the promenade, where there is a good selection of shops, café bars and restaurants lining the cobbled alleys. On the other side of the town are the port and marina, where boat trips leave for Neptune’s Caves at Capo Caccia, and a long sandy beach ideal for sunbathing and swimming stretching approximately 5km to Fertilia.
