The guestrooms and suites are bright, airy and furnished in typical Tuscan style. They all have en suite bathroom with bath and/or shower and hairdryer, LCD TV, telephone, safe, air conditioning, WiFi and furnished balcony or terrace with garden or sea view.

What dining & bar options are available?

The main Biodola restaurant overlooks the pool and bay and offers a generous buffet breakfast and dinner with table service featuring delicious Tuscan cuisine. Please note: a dress code applies in the evening with no shorts allowed.

The al fresco Restaurant Maitù (extra cost) is located on the beach by the sea, offering light Mediterranean dishes featuring seafood and fresh salads for lunch (open daily from 12:30 to 14:15). From June to September, every Thursday, the Maitù organises special Tuscan evenings.

La Sabbiola Restaurant (extra cost, open July and August at management's discretion) located on the beach with views of the sunset serving flavours of Elba, Pianosa Island and Tuscany incorported into daily menus proposed by the chef. The sommelier can suggest local wines from the island.

The hotel bar has a panoramic terrace serving local and Italian wines with live music on some evenings and light snacks in the afternoons. Bar Maitù is located on the beach serving a light lunch of sandwiches, flat breads, salads, fruit salads and ice cream.

What facilities, activities & experiences are available?

There is an outdoor seawater swimming pool, jacuzzi pool and terrace with sunbeds, parasols and sea views. There is also a sauna and Hammam.

On the beach, guests are allocated with 2 complimentary sunbeds, parasol and beach towels (extra cost). There is also a heated jacuzzi, sauna and Turkish bath.

Along the beach there is a private jetty for boat excursions, windsurf and sailing school, dive school, snorkelling and scuba-diving excursions (all extra cost).

There is also a 9-hole golf course with Pro lessons, clubs and carts available (extra cost), 9 tennis courts, synthetic-surface 5-a-side football pitch, volleyball court and 3km Nordic walking/running track within the grounds of the sister Hotel Hermitage, along with a Wellness centre offering massages, health and beauty treatments (extra cost) and Techno-Gym (personal trainer extra cost).

Is the hotel family-friendly?

There is a complimentary mini club for children from 4-12 years (mid June - early September) with activities and weekly entertainment from 10am-12 noon, 4pm-6pm and 9pm-10:30pm including daily activities supervised by qualified staff in a dedicated children’s play area. In the restaurant there is a children's menu and smaller portions available along with highchairs.

Where is the resort located?

Hotel Biodola is situated in Biodola on the central north coast of Elba, 7km from the ferry port of Portoferraio and 9km from Marino di Campo airport.

It is in an ideal location to explore the island including Portoferraio, the main town on the island and Monte Capanne (1,019m) the highest point on the island, reached by cable car for superb views of Elba.

Being just 27km long and 5km wide, guests can explore the island easily including Napoléonic houses, De Laugier barracks, Linguella Roman villa, markets, historic churches, vineyards and the lovely coastline with numerous lovely beaches.

This hotel is the perfect choice for families who are looking for a beach hotel with pool, restaurant and activities along with a children’s club. Biodola is also a good base to explore the island.

We would recommend this hotel for either a few days as part of a combination holiday or for a longer stay.
