Hotel Brancamaria has 65 guest rooms arranged on 3 floors serviced by a lift, overlooking the mountains or the sea. The modern and stylish rooms have been refurbished and afford all the comforts of a four star hotel including air conditioning, TV, phone, hairdryer, safe and minibar. A third bed and cots are available (on request) in most of the rooms.

What dining & bar options are available?

Surrounded by the garden with flowers and olive trees and enjoying a spectacular view of the sea, La Terrazza Restaurant offers guests a varied and generous international buffet breakfast.

In the evening the chefs personally select good quality fresh ingredients produced by small local farms to create gourmet dinners, combining typical Mediterranean cuisine with delicious Sardinian recipes, accompanied by Italian and local wines. There is a large outdoor terrace to enjoy breakfast and dinner with panoramic sea views.

Il Bar is adjacent to the reception and there is a Pool Bar serving drinks throughout the day along with snacks, salads and fruit and there is live music on some evenings giving an enchanting atmosphere on the pool terrace.

What facilities, activities & experiences are available?

The hotel has a feature 25 metre swimming pool and terrace with sunbeds, parasols and swimming lessons and water aerobics on request. Limited covered parking is available and can be requested on arrival at the hotel (extra cost).

There is a free hotel shuttle to Cala Gonone town and beach where guests can hire sunbeds and parasols (extra cost).

Activities available locally include mountain biking, boat trips, visits to the Aquarium, climbing, trekking, diving, kayaking, snorkelling and there are tennis courts 200m from the hotel (all extra cost).

Unforgettable boat trips can be organised by the hotel to visit the stunning satellite beaches of Cala Luna, Cala Sisine, Cala Biriola, Cala dei Gabbiani and Cala Mariolu (even at sunrise) and also the renowned Grotte del Bue Marino and Grotta del Fico caves.

It is also possible to visit the archaeological site of Dorgali, the Nuragic Village of Tiscali, the Gorropu Canyon and there are jeep tours of the Supramonte and Gennargentu mountain area. (All excursions are extra cost.)

Where is the resort located?

Situated between the mountains and the electric blue sea, approximately 105km south of Olbia, Cala Gonone is a gateway to visit the Gulf of Orosei and the 12km dramatic, unique and natural coastline including the stunning beaches of Cala Luna and Cala Sisine.

It is an ideal spot for divers, walkers, climbers and nature lovers to explore this unspoilt area with cliffs plunging into a deep sea of extraordinary beauty encompassing grottos and small coves with fascinating rock pools and secluded beaches. Yet there is the mountainous interior also to discover with rare examples of native flora and fauna, lakes and waterfalls, grottos and canyons, as well as the traditional villages known for cheeses, wines and handicrafts.

The town of Cala Gonone is approximately 1km downhill from Hotel Brancamaria and has a good selection of shops, café bars, gelaterias, restaurants and pizzerias and the tourist port with boat trips to access the beaches and coves along the coast.

We are delighted to introduce Hotel Brancamaria to the Just Sardinia Holiday Collection to offer both families and couples a modernised hotel in Cala Gonone with swimming pool. It is 1km from the town but there is a free hourly hotel shuttle.

This is a really stunning area of Sardinia to explore by boat with unspoilt coves, beaches and cliffs plunging into electric turquoise sea. There are many activities available locally including biking, climbing and trekking from the mountains down to the beaches.

After visiting Cala Gonone numerous times, I would highly recommend this for an active holiday, quite different from anywhere else in Sardinia.

This hotel has been skilfully designed to take advantage of its sheltered position. The guest rooms and suites are set behind the reception, piano bar and restaurant terraces which lead down to the pool and secluded rocky cove with sun decks.

All the rooms have a furnished terrace or balcony (some with sea views) with a small table and chairs, en suite shower room, air conditioning, telephone, WiFi, TV, minibar, safe, hairdryer, beach towels and adult bathrobes (tea set available on request).
